Tatranska Lomnica is one of three biggest settlements in Tatras area: Strbske Pleso, Stary Smokovec, Tatranska Lomnica. Together with other settlements they form town Vysoke Tatry. The settlement is situated at the root of the second highest peak in the High Tatras: Lomnicky Stit.
